Why does my Tumble Dryer not working?



Question by Windows7025: Why does my Tumble Dryer not working?
It turns on and makes a noise but the drum does not spin. it also makes a funny smell.

please help before time runs out for another life of a tumble dryer to run out.

Sounds like maybe the drum’s drive belt has either broke or come loose. Part of the belt is probably still in contact with the drive motor pulley, accounting for the smell. A quick and simple fix for a good repairman.
